The Sovtek 5751 tube is an affordable alternative to the 12AX7 tube used in original Fender Tweed amplifiers and can serve as a replacement for the 12AT7 preamp reverb power stage.

The 5751 is not a true 12AX7, but is often used in place of the 12AX7. They have only 70% of the gain of the 12AX7 and are often used to make a quieter guitar amp with too much gain.
